Tecumseh Playground

Tecumseh Playground is a community space named after Civil War Union General William Tecumseh Sherman. The playground captivates children with its Wild West theme, featuring a covered wagon climber, buffalo sculptures, and a jungle gym, all designed to spark imaginative adventure and evoke the spirit of the American frontier.

Safety is a priority, with the playground fully gated and equipped with a rubberized padded surface for added protection. The space is divided into areas for both younger and older children, and includes water-based play features, sprinklers for warm-weather fun, and accessible swings for children ages 5–12. Additional amenities such as public restrooms and sensory-friendly spaces make it inclusive for children of all abilities. Located at Amsterdam & W. 77th Street. https://www.nycgovparks.org/parks/tecumseh-playground
