Richard Tucker Park

Richard Tucker Park is a charming, triangular green space at the intersection of West 66th Street, Broadway, and Columbus Avenue, adjacent to Lincoln Center on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Spanning just under 0.07 acres, this compact park is named in honor of Brooklyn-born Metropolitan Opera tenor Richard Tucker, renowned for his rich voice and celebrated three-decade career with the Met.

At the heart of the park stands a striking bronze bust of Tucker, created by sculptor Milton Hebald and unveiled in 1980. The monument sits atop a polished granite pedestal inscribed with the titles of 31 operas Tucker performed, a testament to his enduring legacy in the world of opera. The park provides a peaceful, shaded spot for relaxation, people-watching, and enjoying the vibrant neighborhood atmosphere.

Regularly hosting a seasonal Greenmarket with local vendors, Richard Tucker Park offers a restful oasis and a cultural tribute in the heart of Lincoln Square. Located at Columbus Ave. & 66th St. nycgovparks.org
