Tisch Children’s Zoo
Tisch Children’s Zoo, located at the east side of Central Park near East 64th and 65th Streets, offers a interactive experience designed especially for young visitors and their families. As part of the Central Park Zoo, this special area features a petting zoo where children can get up close with friendly animals such as goats, sheep, pigs, alpacas, and the only cow in Manhattan.
The zoo is well known for its hands-on opportunities: kids can feed the animals with pellets purchased on-site, enjoy photo spots like oversized turtle eggs and rabbit holes, and explore the Acorn Theatre, a small performing arts venue. Notable landmarks include the historic Lehman Gates, a bronze and granite sculpture by Paul Manship, and the nearby Delacorte Clock.
Admission to Tisch Children’s Zoo is included with Central Park Zoo tickets, making it a must-visit destination for families seeking a rural adventure in the heart of the city.
