Pig & Khao (Southeast Asian)

Pig & Khao, the Southeast Asian restaurant from chef Leah Cohen, has brought its inventive street food to the Upper West Side after over a decade on the Lower East Side. Located at 433 Amsterdam Avenue, this new outpost blends Filipino and Thai influences with playful, modern twists.

Signature dishes include exclusive UWS creations like the Moo Ping Al Pastor (Thai-style BBQ pork roti taco) and Claypot Spare Ribs inspired by Vietnamese caramel ribs, alongside Filipino favorites such as Pancit Palabok and Sizzling Sisig. The “Roteria” section spotlights roti tacos, where Indian roti stands in for tortillas, filled with bold Southeast Asian flavors—a highlight of the UWS menu.

The cocktail program is as creative as the food, offering drinks like the Mezcal Martini with Thai basil and green peppercorn, and non-alcoholic options such as Filipino Limeade with calamansi and condensed milk. The atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for a fun night out or a weekend brunch.

Pig & Khao UWS is open daily for dinner, with brunch on weekends and a happy hour early in the week. The restaurant also features a chef’s counter, a full bar, and is available for private events.
