Cafe du Soleil

Cafe du Soleil was opened in 2004 by Alain and Nadine Chevreux.  Alain originally from France, came to the United States initially as a DJ looking to buy vinyl records. He ended up staying and working his way up in the restaurant industry, starting as a busboy and eventually opening his first restaurant. The restaurant’s menu features classic French dishes such as coq au vin, French onion soup, and steak frites, alongside more contemporary offerings. Cafe du Soleil is particularly known for its delicious mussels, escargot, and its popular weekend brunch service featuring items like eggs Benedict and French toast. The restaurant hosts special events throughout the week, including Mussels Night on Mondays and Tuesdays, and a prix fixe menu for two on Thursdays. Located at 2723 Broadway (between 104th & 105th Street). 212.316.5000 https://www.cafedusoleilny.com/
